The Information and Consulation Directive was passed into law in March 2002.
The initial transposition date for Ireland and the UK is March 2005, when
undertakings with at least 150 employees (or establishments with at least 100
employees) must comply. Establishments with at least 50 employees must comply
by 2007. Full implementation of the Directive to undertakings with at least
20 employees becomes a requirement by 2008.
